Resignation in Health: Deputy Minister Jovica Andovski Leaves “for Personal Reasons” — and Three Ministers Changed During His Term
Andovski submitted his resignation to the prime minister on October 9, and it reached Parliament on October 13; two weeks ago Mickoski said he would soon propose new deputy ministers.
Deputy Health Minister Jovica Andovski submitted an irrevocable resignation for “personal reasons.” He handed it to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on October 9, and it was submitted to Parliament on October 13. He thanked the prime minister for his trust and support. The prime minister proposes that Parliament note the resignation at its first session.
Andovski has been deputy minister since the start of Mickoski’s term. According to reports, three ministers changed during that time — Arben Taravari, Azir Aliu and Sasho Klekovski — making his resignation yet another change in the health portfolio. No successor has been named, and two weeks ago Mickoski said he would soon propose new deputy ministers.
Reasons beyond “personal” are not given, and the texts we checked contain no comment from the Ministry of Health. The question of stability in the portfolio remains open, but without an official position it is an observation, not a conclusion.
