Telekom has launched a new era of mobile services in Macedonia — the operator announced it has activated the country's first standalone 5G network, marking a technological step forward for the domestic telecom market.
Unlike previous upgrades to existing 4G infrastructure, a standalone 5G network (also known as 5G Standalone) is built on an entirely new technological architecture, designed to enable significantly faster data transfer speeds, lower latency, and support for advanced applications requiring near-instant connectivity.
