Winery "Tikveš" returned from Germany and France with an entire series of new international accolades, confirming its status as one of the most recognizable Macedonian export brands on the European wine scene.
At "Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2026" in Germany, Tikveš won ten awards, three of them particularly significant special prizes — the company was named Best Producer from Macedonia, while also winning the awards for the country's best wine in both the white and red wine categories.
A Grand Gold Medal in France Too
The accolades didn't stop there — at a competition in France, Tikveš won a grand gold medal and a special award, further confirming the competitiveness of Macedonian winemaking even in the country considered the birthplace of modern viticulture.
"This success is a strong confirmation that the wines we create at Tikveš are marked by top quality and authenticity, and successfully stand out even in the toughest international competition," the company said. Accolades like these directly boost Macedonian winemaking's export potential, opening doors to new markets and recognition at the European level.
