Karpoš Culture Summer Continues With Balkan Jam Band Concert
The free open-air program brings music and culture closer to residents outside the city center, with more events planned through the season.
Skopje's "Karpoš Culture Summer 2026" project continues with another event in its series of summer cultural happenings — last night's concert by the band "Balkan Jam Band" drew a crowd who enjoyed well-known Macedonian evergreens and Balkan pop-rock hits.
The event, organized by the Municipality of Karpoš, has for several seasons now served as a regular summer gathering point for residents, offering free cultural and musical programming in an open-air setting outside the city center.
Culture Moves Beyond the Center
Decentralized cultural events like this play an important role in a city's cultural life — offering residents events close to home, without needing to travel to the central city locations where most events are usually concentrated. This particularly benefits older residents and families with children.
Organizers say the "Karpoš Culture Summer" program continues with additional events through the end of the summer season, including concerts, exhibitions and other cultural offerings.
