North Macedonia has taken part since 2003, its best result is fifth place in 2007 and 2008, and 16 countries compete in the final.
Ana Stojanoska will represent North Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song “Idnata jas” (“The Future Me”). The contest takes place on October 24 at 21:00 Central European Time at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta' Qali. Sixteen countries take part.
North Macedonia is represented by Macedonian Radio Television (MRT). The artist was chosen internally, following an open call and an audition on June 1, 2026, the result of which aired on June 16. According to Eurovoix, North Macedonia's spokesperson when the votes are announced will be Nela Mančeska, who placed seventh among 18 countries last year with the song “Miracle”, according to Wikipedia.
What is the history? North Macedonia has taken part in Junior Eurovision since its debut in 2003 and has missed only three editions: 2012, 2014 and 2020. It has never won. The best results are fifth places in 2007 (Rosica Kulakova and Dimitar Stojmenovski) and 2008 (Bobi Andonov).
What is the expectation? The checked reports carry no betting odds or jury assessments for “Idnata jas”, so we do not predict a placing.
How can it be followed? The contest's official YouTube channel streams all shows without commentary. We did not check the 2026 voting rules, so we do not state them.
What is not known? North Macedonia's running order is not known, nor is the result. The language of the song is also not known, since the sources we checked do not confirm it. We also do not know whether MRT will broadcast the contest live and on which channel.
What does it mean? Junior Eurovision is a light and positive cultural event. The real result will be known tonight, and until then Ana Stojanoska has to present her best.
