Kočani Hosts First-Ever Professional 3x3 Basketball Tournament This Weekend

Kočani's city park will host the "Petar Ivanovski" 3x3 basketball tournament next weekend, on August 29 and 30 — the first time it's been organized on a professional portable court in the city, organizers announced.
The event promises two days packed with exciting basketball, professional officiating and a rich music program. Eight teams from Kočani alone have registered so far, and organizers expect additional entries from other cities across the country, and even from abroad.
A Prize Fund and More Than Sport
A prize fund of 100,000 denars is set for the winning team. Organizer Mirče Petruševski said the tournament's goal is more than just competition — it's an attempt to build a regular sporting and social tradition in the city, drawing young people and basketball fans from across the region.
The tournament is named in honor of Petar Ivanovski, and organizers hope this year's edition will lay the groundwork for a longer-running annual event.
