Just two days remain until the Macedonian national football team's historic debut in UEFA Nations League Division B — on Saturday, 26 September, at 8:45 p.m., at the Todor Proeski National Arena in Skopje, against Switzerland, quarter-finalists at the last World Cup.
Ticket sales, running since 10 September, offer prices from 500 to 1,800 denars depending on the block, with VIP tickets at 3,000 denars. Coach Goce Sedloski called up 28 players for the busiest cycle in the team's recent history — four matches in eleven days, including an away trip to Slovenia on 29 September and a home match against Scotland on 3 October.
Darko Churlinov will not play in the opening match — not due to injury, but because of an unresolved work and residence status in Poland, where he plays for Pogoń Szczecin. The squad still includes several uncapped players, among them Matej Gashtarov and Anes Melikji.
The match is the national team's first home game this year, in a new, higher division — a test not just of the result, but of public interest in the first genuinely major opponent of this format.
