North Macedonia's national football team has fallen into a deep crisis after failing to score in five consecutive matches, suffering a heavy 0-3 defeat to favorites Switzerland at the "Todor Proevski" stadium in Skopje on Friday night.
The team showed weak attacking play and created virtually no real scoring chances, while the defense made mistakes it "should not have made," admitted coach Gonce Sedloski. He said there is much to learn from the match, as Switzerland is a world-class side with quality players in every position.
Players showed a lack of both physical and technical readiness, and disappointed fans began leaving the stands 10-15 minutes before full time. The national team now travels to Ljubljana, where it faces Slovenia on September 29 in an attempt to end its winless run.
