Ohrid Airport Gets Modernized Terminal in €2.7M Investment
TAV Macedonia's investment aims to boost capacity ahead of the region's peak tourist season.
Ohrid's "Sveti Apostol Pavle" airport has received a modernized passenger terminal, a €2.7 million investment by TAV Macedonia, Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski announced.
According to Nikoloski, the project effectively gives Ohrid a new airport — the modernization comes at a key moment, given growing tourist interest in the Ohrid region and the need for improved passenger handling capacity.
Part of a Broader Infrastructure Cycle
The investment aligns with already-known figures on GDP and construction sector growth this year, confirming infrastructure investment continues in parallel across multiple sectors — from road and rail networks to aviation infrastructure in the country's key tourist regions.
The improved terminal in Ohrid is expected to increase the airport's capacity to handle more passenger flights, particularly during the season when the Ohrid region traditionally sees its highest tourist influx.
