North Macedonia's national football team opens its UEFA Nations League B campaign against Switzerland on 26 September (Saturday, 8:45 p.m.) at the Todor Proeski National Arena — the country's first appearance in this higher division.
The opponent reached the quarter-finals of the last World Cup, where they were eliminated by Argentina after extra time. Switzerland coach Murat Yakin has named his squad, described by domestic sports media as bringing "all the heavy artillery" for the trip to Skopje.
Coach Goce Sedloski has called up 28 players, including four uncapped ones. The cycle, the busiest in the national team's recent history, continues with an away match in Slovenia on 29 September, a home game against Scotland on 3 October, and wraps up with the Switzerland rematch in Lucerne on 6 October.
Ticket sales for the opening match began on 10 September, priced from 500 to 1,800 denars, with VIP tickets at 3,000. Sports media are calling for a full house — the national team's first home match this year.
