Nikoloski Tells NATO's Adm. Wikoff: Corridors 8 and 10 Are the Security Priority
The deputy PM met a NATO Joint Force Command Naples delegation as Skopje pushes the corridors as a geostrategic link.
Deputy Prime Minister and transport minister Aleksandar Nikoloski met a NATO Joint Force Command Naples delegation led by Admiral George M. Wikoff.
Skopje's line: Corridors 8 and 10 are not just roads and rail — they are east-west and north-south links. For NATO that is logistics; for Macedonia it is money, deadlines and unfinished stretches.
Numbers Worth Keeping in View
The State Audit Office previously found that of an estimated €1.3 billion earmarked for Corridors 8 and 10d, only a sliver had gone into actual construction by end-2023. The two-day visit produced no new joint document as of publication; the readout is the signal that Naples is being briefed on the corridors in the same week Skopje argues over how many kilometres were actually built.
