12-Year-Old Macedon Dimitrovski From Tetovo Accepted Into Prestigious Johns Hopkins Program in the US

Twelve-year-old Macedon Dimitrovski from Tetovo has been accepted into the prestigious Talented Youth Program at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, based in Baltimore, Maryland — a programme for students with exceptional academic ability from around the world. His father, Vladimir Dimitrovski, announced the news on Facebook.
After testing, Macedon also received the "Grand Honors/SET" distinction. Grand Honors is the highest recognition within the university's CTY testing, while SET ("Study of Exceptional Talent") is a programme and award for students whose results significantly exceed what is expected for their age.
Macedon's achievement follows a string of earlier ones: more than 20 gold medals from international mathematics competitions at regional and world level. At age 11, he scored 1,440 on the SAT — 740 in maths and 700 in reading and writing.
"Today we are especially proud parents," his father wrote, adding that Macedon continues "to learn, to dream, and to push his own limits."
