"Siljan Shtrkot" — Seventh Edition of the Children's Theatre Festival in Prilep, Through 25 September
Opened with the Bitola Theatre's "Pinocchio." Eight days of plays, workshops, and a visit to Siljan's birthplace.
The seventh edition of the "Siljan Shtrkot" children's theatre festival is running from 18 to 25 September in Prilep, organised by the "Mal Teatar" association with support from Prilep Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The festival opened with a performance of "Pinocchio" by the National Theatre of Bitola on 18 September at the "Marko Cepenkov" Culture Centre. Over its eight days, alongside plays such as "Puss in Boots," the programme includes a screening of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," a creative workshop with author Ana Jovkovska based on her book, and workshops in visual art, costume-making and theatre.
The programme also includes a visit to Malo Konjari — the birthplace of the legendary Siljan Shtrkot, the character the festival is named after. Over the years, the event has grown from a pure theatre festival into a broader cultural and educational happening for young audiences.
